The gloss version of Photo Rag, and the paper photographers choose for exhibition prints. Photo Rag Baryta 315 is 100% cotton with a barium-sulphate layer under a high-gloss coating, the same construction as a traditional darkroom fibre print. Blacks go deeper than on any matte paper, colours are vivid, and the surface has the look and feel of a hand-printed photograph.
The paper
- 100% cotton rag, 315 gsm, about 0.46 mm thick
- High-gloss baryta surface with a fine, smooth texture
- White, no optical brighteners
- Acid-free, lignin-free, calcium carbonate buffered
- ISO 9706 museum quality for the highest ageing resistance
Best for: Exhibition and portfolio photography, black and white with deep blacks, portraits, and any image that wants the depth of a darkroom print.
How we print it
Pigment inks rated to last over 100 years, on a 44-inch Epson SureColor with a custom ICC profile made for this exact paper, so what you approve on screen is what comes off the printer. A white border is optional and free: up to 2.5 cm per side, as long as the print still fits the roll. Ask for full bleed if you prefer. We check each file before printing.
Sizes and prices
A4 to A1, plus common inch sizes up to 20 x 30 in, printed from our 24-inch roll. Prices are per print, no GST added. Printing an edition of 5 or more? WhatsApp us with the paper, size and quantity and we will quote an edition price. Need another size? Message us with the dimensions.
