Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash 400 Disposable Camera (27 Exposures)

The Fujifilm QuickSnap is the other classic disposable, and the one to choose if you prefer cooler, cleaner colours to Kodak's warm ones. It comes pre-loaded with 27 exposures of Fujicolor ISO 400 film and a built-in flash, so it handles daylight, cafés and evening shots without any settings. Fujifilm's line on the box says it best: moments worth waiting for.

How to use it

1. Turn the thumb wheel until it stops to advance to the next frame.
2. Indoors or after dark, slide the flash switch to ON and wait for the ready light.
3. Keep at least 1 metre from your subject, hold steady, press the shutter. Repeat 27 times.

When the roll is finished

Good to know

• QuickSnap vs Kodak: Fujifilm leans cool and green, Kodak leans warm and golden. ISO 400 also means slightly finer grain than Kodak's 800, but indoors the flash matters more than the ISO.
• Airport scanners: carry it in hand luggage and ask for a hand check. CT baggage scanners can fog film.
• Photos look dark? Use the flash indoors, even in a bright room. Disposables have no exposure control, so the flash does the work.
• Shelf life: best used within the date printed on the box. Keep it cool and out of the sun until you shoot.
